What the product page confirms
The retailer page returned a 403 / “Just a moment...” screen during checking, so the live listing had limited detail available during checking. That means this review sticks to confirmed product details only: Continental PremiumContact 6, car tyre, summer, 225/45 R18 95Y, with price and stock still unverified on the live page. Delivery cost, merchant terms and any variant-specific markings should be checked directly on the retailer page before you buy.
What the wider evidence suggests
This looks like a comparison candidate rather than a strongly review-led pick: there are 4 tracked variants, which is above the comparable-product median of 1, and the price range of £142.66-£188.47 gives you some room to compare offers. The owner reviews signal is limited, so it is better to judge this on confirmed size, season, load and speed rating, plus live stock, rather than on star confidence alone. Continental’s own positioning also frames PremiumContact 6 as a comfort- and safety-oriented summer family, which is useful context but not independent performance proof.
Buyer trade-offs to weigh up
The main trade-off is between exact fitment and the convenience of shopping within one tyre family. If your car really calls for 225/45 R18 95Y, this keeps the size check simple, but the spread from £142.66 to £188.47 means the final value depends on which variant is in stock, what delivery costs, and whether a competing summer tyre gives you a better spec match. If you are still undecided on season or size, it is safer to pause and confirm the placard or current sidewall before comparing offers.
Price and value benchmark
The tracked starting price is £142.66, with the current range extending to £188.47. That places PremiumContact 6 close to the broader peer median rather than at the bargain end, so value here depends less on headline price and more on whether the live offer includes the right variant, stock position and delivery terms. Treat the range as a guide, not a verified checkout total, and compare offers before committing.
How the specification compares
For this tyre, the key comparison points are the exact 225/45 R18 95Y marking, the summer tread purpose, and the load and speed rating shown on the product page. If the live listing also shows EU label values, compare wet grip, fuel efficiency and road noise to similar summer tyres in the same size. A nearby Continental line such as ContiSportContact 5 P may be worth checking if you want to compare another summer-focused option, but only use size-matched listings when you are comparing like for like.
How to read the review evidence
Owner-review evidence here is too limited to treat ratings as strong proof of performance, and that makes the confirmed product details more important. For PremiumContact 6 225/45 R18 95Y Summer, the useful anchors are the Continental brand, the summer season marking, the 225/45 R18 95Y size, the £142.66 starting price and the fact that there are 4 tracked variants. Use any star rating as light context only, then lean on fitment checks and the live spec sheet rather than assuming the tyre will suit every driver or every car.
Who it suits
This tyre suits shoppers who already know they need 225/45 R18 95Y summer tyres and want to compare Continental offers in one place. It is especially relevant if you are checking price, stock and delivery on a like-for-like basis and want a comfort- and safety-oriented summer family from Continental. The 4 tracked variants also make it useful for anyone comparing multiple listings before buying.
Who should avoid it
Avoid buying it on size alone if your car needs a different tyre size, a different season, or a specific fitment detail that is not visible on the listing. There is no guaranteed compatibility here, and no vehicle was supplied in the evidence, so you should not assume it will suit every trim or wheel setup. If your current sidewall does not match 225/45 R18 95Y, keep looking.
Comfort and support positioning
Continental positions PremiumContact 6 as a comfort- and safety-oriented summer family, which helps explain why it sits in the premium summer conversation rather than as a basic budget tyre. That said, this is manufacturer positioning, not active performance proof for this exact 225/45 R18 95Y listing. Use it as context while still checking the live product page for the exact variant details that matter to your car.
Value check
Value depends on the current offer, because the price band runs from £142.66 to £188.47 and the live page had limited detail available during checking. With 4 variants available, the useful question is not just whether this tyre is affordable, but whether the specific listing gives you the right size, stock status and delivery terms for your car. Compare before buying, especially if another summer tyre in your size offers a better spec match at a similar total cost.

Questions about this tyre
Is PremiumContact 6 225/45 R18 95Y Summer a good shortlist tyre if I already know my size?
Yes, it is a reasonable shortlist option if your car already calls for 225/45 R18 95Y summer tyres. The main job now is to compare the live price, stock and delivery details, because the tracked range runs from £142.66 to £188.47 and the checkout total was not verified.
How do I confirm whether 225/45 R18 95Y fits my car before ordering?
Check the tyre size on your current sidewall or the tyre placard inside the car, then make sure the load index and speed rating match what your vehicle requires. Do not rely on the product title alone, because no vehicle was supplied here and fitment is not guaranteed for every trim or wheel setup.
Why does the price range differ across tracked variants?
There are 4 tracked variants, so the difference can reflect which listing is in stock, how the offer is set up and any variant-specific details on the retailer page. That is why the £142.66-£188.47 range should be treated as a comparison guide rather than one fixed price.
Does the limited review details mean I should rely more on spec than star ratings?
Yes. The owner reviews signal is limited, so the safest approach is to focus on the confirmed product details: Continental, summer, 225/45 R18 95Y, plus live price and availability. Any star rating should be treated as light context, not a strong buying signal.
What should I compare first: wet grip, fuel efficiency or road noise?
If those labels are shown on the live listing, start with wet grip for safety-minded comparison, then check fuel efficiency and road noise. Keep the comparison within the same 225/45 R18 95Y summer fitment so you are judging the spec rather than mixing in a different tyre size.
