Quick verdict
Bridgestone Turanza T005 245/40 R19 94W Summer is best treated as a cautious shortlist pick, not an automatic buy. The exact size and 94W rating are the first checks, then compare the live price and stock because this listing sits in a higher price band than many comparable tyres. Bridgestone’s Turanza line is aimed at summer touring use, with comfort and wet-road control as part of the brand positioning, but you should still verify the exact retailer listing before ordering.
Available tyre sizes and prices

What the product page confirms
The Tyres.net product page did not load normally during checking and returned an interstitial, so the exact live product copy could not be read directly. What is confirmed elsewhere is the product name, Bridgestone brand, summer season, and tracked 245/40 R19 94W size, plus current in-stock variant entries at different prices. Because the retailer page was limited, confirm the final checkout price, delivery cost, stock status and whether the listing is the non-run-flat version before you commit.
Key takeaways from the available evidence
The strongest shopper-safe point is the exact size match: 245/40 R19 94W appears consistently in the product title and third-party listings, so this is a spec-led comparison rather than a review driven by rich owner feedback. Owner-review evidence for this exact listing is thin, so brand positioning matters more here than star ratings. Bridgestone presents Turanza T005 as a summer touring tyre with wet and dry performance, comfort and quiet ride themes, and the visible price spread of £161.04 to £228.19 across five tracked variants means shoppers should compare value and variant choice carefully rather than assume one fixed offer.
Buyer trade-offs to weigh
If you need a summer tyre and your vehicle calls for 245/40 R19 94W, Turanza T005 is a sensible name to compare, but the trade-off is price versus certainty. The listing sits above the comparable median price, so it is less about budget and more about whether the Bridgestone fit, brand positioning and available variants justify the spend. Check whether a nearby summer alternative gives you the same size and rating for less, and do not compare it directly with all-season or winter tyres unless your climate and vehicle requirements call for that change.
Price and value benchmark
The tracked starting price is £161.04, with visible variants ranging up to £228.19, so this is not positioned as a low-cost tyre in the current set. Against a comparable-product median of £129.26, it sits above average, which makes value comparison more important than headline brand appeal alone. Five tracked variants also give you more room to shop within the same family, but you should still check the retailer for the latest price and availability before deciding.
How it compares with nearby alternatives
The key spec anchor is 245/40 R19 94W, so compare any alternative on the same size, load index, speed rating and season before looking at brand or price. Bridgestone’s own nearby summer alternatives in the current set include Potenza Sport 245/35 ZR19 93Y Summer and Turanza 6 235/45 R19 99V Summer, while the lower-priced Turanza T005 225/40 R18 92Y Summer shows how much price can change when the size changes. That makes the Turanza T005 245/40 R19 94W a more exact-fit comparison than a universal upgrade, and it should only be shortlisted if the size is correct for your vehicle.
How to read the review evidence
Review evidence for the exact 245/40 R19 94W listing is limited, so this page should be read as a spec-and-price review rather than a strong owner-feedback verdict. Some public commentary is positive about the Turanza line in general, but it is mostly manufacturer or retailer-led and should be treated as context, not proof. With thin exact-product review volume, the safest buying approach is to rely on the confirmed size, season, load index, speed rating and current retailer details.
Who it suits
This tyre suits drivers looking for a summer touring option in the exact 245/40 R19 94W size, especially where everyday road use matters more than chasing a specialist performance setup. Bridgestone’s Turanza branding points toward wet-road confidence, comfort and a quieter ride, which may appeal if those are your priorities and the vehicle fitment matches. It is also a practical shortlist item if you want a premium-brand comparison point and are willing to pay above the median for the right specification.
Who should avoid it
Avoid it if your vehicle needs a different tyre size, a different load index or speed rating, or if your current sidewall or placard does not confirm 245/40 R19 94W. You should also look elsewhere if you need a winter or all-season tyre, because Turanza T005 is positioned as a summer tyre rather than a year-round solution. Do not assume universal fitment, and do not rely on brand name alone when the exact listing details are limited.
Comfort and road feel
Bridgestone positions Turanza T005 around comfort, quiet ride and wet-road control, which makes the 245/40 R19 94W Summer version a touring-focused summer tyre rather than a hard-edged specialist option. That matters if you are comparing it with sporty summer alternatives or with a nearby Bridgestone option like Potenza Sport, where sharper response may be the bigger draw. Because this is manufacturer-led positioning rather than independent road proof for this exact size, treat comfort and quietness as reasons to consider it, not guarantees.
Value check
Value here depends on whether the exact fitment, summer use case and brand positioning line up with your car, because the current price is above the comparable median and the exact review evidence is thin. The five tracked variants can help you shop within the product family, but the best comparison is still with other 245/40 R19 94W summer tyres that match your vehicle requirements. Check the retailer for latest price and stock, then compare delivery and final checkout cost before deciding whether this is worth paying for.

Questions about this tyre
Is Turanza T005 245/40 R19 94W Summer worth considering if the size matches?
Yes, it is worth shortlisting if your vehicle specifically needs 245/40 R19 94W and you want a summer touring tyre. The main caveat is that exact owner-review evidence is limited here, so compare live price, stock and the final checkout total before buying.
How do I confirm fitment before ordering?
Check the sidewall on your current tyre or the vehicle placard and match the full size plus load and speed rating: 245/40 R19 94W. If the car asks for a different rating, a run-flat version or another season, choose the correct specification instead of relying on the brand name.
Why does the price vary across tyre sizes or variants?
Tyre pricing changes with size, load and speed rating, and sometimes with construction or variant differences. In this family, visible prices run from £161.04 to £228.19, so even within the same Turanza T005 name you should compare the exact listing rather than assuming every version is priced the same.
Is this a summer tyre or an all-season option?
This is a summer tyre. Bridgestone positions Turanza T005 as a summer touring tyre, so it is the right type to compare if you drive mainly in warmer conditions and want summer-road focus rather than all-season flexibility.
What should I compare first: load index, speed rating, or price?
Start with the load index and speed rating, because fitment has to match the vehicle before price matters. Once 94W is confirmed as correct, compare the live price, stock, delivery cost and whether a nearby 245/40 R19 summer alternative offers better value for your needs.
