At-a-glance fitment comparison

The table is filtered to researched tyre sizes: 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17, 225/40 R18. Compare the listed size against the current tyre sidewall first, then check load/speed rating, season and run-flat notes. Products outside those researched sizes are deliberately excluded from this vehicle shortlist.

What the fitment research shows

The 2022 Toyota Corolla fitment guidance supports four researched tyre sizes: 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18. Because trim, wheel option and market can all change the correct size, this page is a cautious shortlist rather than a universal Corolla tyre answer. Every option shown here is an exact-size match from Tyres.net, so the first step is still to confirm the current tyre sidewall or vehicle placard before ordering. Once the size is confirmed, compare season, price, stock and delivery rather than assuming the model name alone tells you everything you need to know.

What to compare after fitment is confirmed

With the shortlist limited to exact-size matches, the main trade-offs are price, brand familiarity and how quickly you need the tyre. The visible range runs from £42.01 for the Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 K435 195/65 R15 91T Summer up to £149.59 for the Pirelli Cinturato P7 205/55 R16 91V Summer, so the same Corolla fitment can span budget-led and premium-leaning choices. Continental EcoContact 6, Nexen N blue HD Plus and the other Hankook option sit in between, giving shoppers a few brands to compare once the sidewall size, load index and speed rating have been checked. Stock and delivery can matter just as much as sticker price, especially if you need the tyre fitted quickly or want to avoid a second order later.

How to choose tyres for a 2022 Toyota Corolla

Start with the tyre already on the car: read the size on the sidewall, then confirm the same size on the vehicle placard before comparing listings. For this page, that means checking whether your Corolla matches one of the researched sizes — 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 or 225/40 R18 — and only then looking at options such as the Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 K435 195/65 R15 91T Summer at £42.01 or the Pirelli Cinturato P7 205/55 R16 91V Summer at £79.91. After size, compare the load index and speed rating on your current tyre against the retailer listing, then check whether the car currently uses run-flat tyres. Finish by weighing price, stock and delivery cost, because those live details can change the real value of an otherwise suitable tyre.

Why 2022 Toyota Corolla tyre sizes can vary

A 2022 Corolla does not automatically use one tyre size across every version. Trim, wheel option, market and even earlier wheel changes can move the car between 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, which is why the model badge alone is not enough. The shortlist on this page is built around exact-size matches only, so it is useful once you have confirmed the current sidewall or placard, but it should not be treated as a fitment guarantee for every Corolla on the road. If the size on the car and the product page do not line up, stop and recheck before ordering.

Load, speed and run-flat checks before ordering

Matching the diameter and width is only part of the job. The current Corolla tyre may carry a load index and speed rating that need to be matched on the replacement, and the product listing should be checked against those details before you buy. That matters even when the tyre size looks right, because a correct-looking 205/55 R16 or 195/65 R15 still may not meet the vehicle’s requirements if the other markings differ. If the sidewall, placard and listing conflict, use a qualified tyre fitter rather than assuming the nearest-looking exact-size tyre will do the job.

Choosing a season for UK use

The current shortlist is summer-only, so season choice should follow local climate and driving needs rather than the Corolla name alone. For shoppers comparing the Pirelli Cinturato P7, Continental EcoContact 6, Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 K435, Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 and Nexen N blue HD Plus, the key question is whether a summer tyre fits how and where the car is used. Summer tyres can be a sensible road-use starting point for many drivers, but they are not a substitute for checking the actual weather, commute pattern and any seasonal preference before ordering. Keep the season check separate from the size check so you do not mix a correct fitment with the wrong tyre type.

Value, stock and delivery

The best value comes from combining the correct size with a price that still makes sense after stock and delivery are added in. A £42.01 Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 K435 can look attractive on price, but if the wrong size is selected or delivery is slow, the final value drops quickly; the same is true for higher-priced options such as the £79.91 Pirelli Cinturato P7 or the £77.17 Continental EcoContact 6. Because the retailer details can change, always check the latest stock status and delivery cost on the product page before ordering. That way the comparison stays focused on a tyre that fits, arrives on time and suits your budget rather than on the headline price alone.

Buying questions

Can a 2022 Toyota Corolla have more than one tyre size?

Yes. The researched fitment for this Corolla includes 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, but the right one depends on trim, wheel option and market. Always check the sidewall and vehicle placard on your own car before you order.

Where do I find the exact tyre size on my car before ordering?

Check the tyre sidewall first, then confirm the same size on the vehicle placard or handbook. That check should also include the load index and speed rating, because a tyre can look close on size alone and still be the wrong match.

How do I check load index and speed rating against the current tyre?

Read the markings on the tyre that is already fitted and compare them with the product listing. If the markings do not match, or if you are unsure about the numbers, ask a tyre fitter before buying rather than relying on the nearest-looking option.

What should I do if my car currently uses run-flat tyres?

Do not assume a standard summer tyre is an automatic replacement. Check the current sidewall and the vehicle handbook, then make sure the replacement tyre is suitable for the car’s existing setup or get a fitter to confirm the right choice.

Is season choice important if the shortlist is all summer tyres?

Yes, because season still needs to fit the local climate and the way you use the car. The shortlist here is all summer tyres, so use it only if that season type makes sense for your driving and you are happy that it matches the conditions you face most often.
